Man Arrested After Armed Police Called To Worthing Incident

A man has been arrested following reports that a woman was threatened and a car was damaged in Worthing.
Sussex Police were called to Clifton Road at around 5pm on Saturday after receiving reports that a woman had been threatened and that her vehicle had been damaged with objects.
The force said a number of men left the area in a separate vehicle, which was later stopped by armed officers in Woodside Road.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, making threats to kill and criminal damage.
He remains in police custody.
Sussex Police is now appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured relevant footage.
Anyone with CCTV, doorbell camera, mobile phone or dashcam footage is asked to contact the force.
