A man has been arrested after a van crashed into the front of a pub in Polegate.
Emergency services were called to the Harvester Horse and Groom at around 11pm on Wednesday after the vehicle struck the building.
Sussex Police say the 39-year-old driver, who was the only person in the van, suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The man, from Maidenhead, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink, failing to co-operate with a preliminary roadside test, and assaulting an emergency worker.
He remains in police custody.
The Harvester Horse and Groom confirmed on social media that the restaurant will reopen as normal on Thursday.
