Police Appeal After Mobility Scooter Rider Seriously Injured In Worthing Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a mobility scooter rider was seriously injured in a collision with a taxi in Worthing.

The incident happened at around 11.05am on Wednesday 27th May in Buckingham Road.

A Ford Transit Custom, being used as a taxi, is reported to have reversed into a mobility scooter being ridden by a 78-year-old woman.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Sussex Police say enquiries are ongoing as officers work to establish exactly what happened.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, is urged to come forward.
