Police investigating a doorstep fraud in Brighton have released an image of a man they would like to identify.

The incident happened at a property in Arundel Street on 6th July, when two men visited a woman's home separately.

The pair claimed work was being carried out at a neighbouring property to repair a leak affecting an adjoining wall.

They told the victim they had spoken to her letting agency, which had supposedly approved the work.

The woman was then persuaded to pay a £25 deposit for a dehumidifier, but was ultimately defrauded of more than £450.

Following a number of enquiries, Sussex Police have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.

Anyone who recognises him, or has information that could assist officers, is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1189 of 06/07.
