Queen Victoria Hospital To Join Expanded NHS Hospital Group

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead is set to become the third member of an expanded NHS hospital group.

The specialist West Sussex hospital will join Surrey-based Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, following months of collaboration between the organisations.

The three trusts say the partnership will allow them to share expertise, strengthen clinical services and improve care for patients across the region.

Despite joining the group, each hospital will remain an independent NHS foundation trust, with its own board, leadership team and identity.

The trusts have been working together since December 2025 in preparation for the expanded arrangement.

Louise Stead, Group Chief Executive of Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, said:

"Our group was created to enable our trusts to work more closely together, sharing clinical expertise and learning where this benefits patients, colleagues and communities."

Abigail Jago, Acting Chief Executive of Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, added:

"Joining the expanded group gives us the opportunity to build on our expertise and work alongside ASPH and RSFT to support the future of our services."

The three organisations say the move will help them deliver high-quality healthcare while maintaining their individual roles within the NHS.
