A27 Closed In Both Directions After Three-Vehicle Crash Near Angmering

The A27 has been closed in both directions near Angmering following a three-vehicle crash overnight.

National Highways says one of the vehicles overturned in the collision, which happened between the A284 at Crossbush and the A280 near Clapham.

Emergency services remain at the scene, while traffic officers and contractors are assisting with traffic management.

Sussex Police has not yet released any details about injuries.

In an update on social media, National Highways said:

"Police investigations are ongoing. As of yet, there's no reopening time."

A diversion is in place via the A259, with motorists being advised to follow signed routes.

Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys, consider alternative routes or delay travel until the road reopens.
