Appeal After Fatal Collision On A27 Near Angmering

Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision near Angmering.


Emergency services were called to the A27 Arundel Road at Hammerpot at around 10:40pm on Friday, 3 April, after reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.


Tragically, a 20-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene.


His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.


The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.


The westbound carriageway was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident, but has since reopened.


Officers are now urging anyone who saw the pedestrian in the area at the time, witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage that could assist enquiries, to come forward.
