ID Appeal Following Bag Theft Containing Wedding Rings In Brighton

Police are working to identify this man after a black tote bag containing rings, due to be exchanged during a wedding ceremony in the days following, was reported stolen on 15 March at 1.30pm from the entrance of Boots in North St, Brighton.


The bag, which had ‘Anthony Nolan’ printed on it, was reported to have slipped off the victim’s shoulder, and within moments, a man picked it up and exited the shop before she could retrieve it.


Two rings in ring boxes were inside the bag after they had just been collected from a nearby jewellers.


One ring closely resembles the one shown in the image, which has been created to support the publicity appeal.


It was kept in a vintage red ring box with ‘Bond Street Jewellers’ printed inside the lid.


The second ring is described as a plain silver-coloured band, stored in a black ring box.


Although the CCTV quality is poor, officers would like to speak with the man seen in the stills as he may be able to assist onwards enquiries.
