Man And Woman Rescued From Sea In Brighton After Welfare Concern Near Palace Pier

A man and a woman were rescued from the sea in Brighton after concerns were raised for a man’s welfare near Palace Pier on Sunday night.
Sussex Police said emergency services were called to the area shortly after 9.30pm following reports of concern for a man in the water.
Members of the public entered the sea and were able to recover the man, while a woman who had also been in the water was helped back to safety.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to hospital for further care.
Police have not released further details about the incident.
