Three Men Convicted Of The Rape Of A Woman On Brighton Beach

Three men have been convicted of raping a woman on Brighton beach in the early hours of 4 October 2025.
Sussex Police said the victim, a woman in her 30s, reported that she had been taken to the beach by three men before being attacked around 5am.
She was able to escape and raise the alarm, prompting an urgent investigation.
She was supported by specialist officers throughout the inquiry.
CCTV from a nearby nightclub, including ID scans used on entry, helped identify the suspects.
Officers later arrested Abdulla Ahmadi, 26, Ibrahim Alshafe, 25, and Karin Al-Danasurt, 20.
Footage was also recovered from a mobile phone belonging to Al-Danasurt.
Following a trial at Hove Crown Court, a jury found all three men guilty of rape on 23 April 2026. They have been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing in July.
Detective Chief Superintendent Richard McDonagh said the victim showed “strength and courage” in reporting the attack and supporting the investigation, adding that officers remain committed to pursuing offenders and supporting survivors of sexual offences.
