University Of Chichester Marks Five Years Of Supporting Chichester Pride

The University of Chichester is celebrating five consecutive years of sponsoring Chichester Pride.

The university has backed the annual event since its launch in 2021 and is continuing its support in 2026, as the festival continues to grow in popularity.

This year's Chichester Pride, held on 23 May, featured a packed programme of entertainment, including performances from Britain's Got Talent finalist Eva Iglesias, alongside tribute acts celebrating Steps and Ariana Grande.

Visitors also enjoyed comedians, a silent disco and a range of market stalls as part of the family-friendly event.

The university has also supported the Pride parade since it was introduced in 2024, with staff and students joining the celebrations through the streets of Chichester.

Chris Rogers, co-chair of the University of Chichester LGBTQ+ and Allies Staff Network, said:

"The University of Chichester is proud to sponsor Chichester Pride for the fifth year running and support Chichester’s LGBTQ+ community. The university prides itself on being a diverse, inclusive and supportive environment where we encourage our staff and students to be their authentic selves.

"We are excited to be part of the ever-growing parade and celebrate the diversity of both our university and the wider community across Chichester."

Chichester Pride has become a regular fixture in the city's events calendar, bringing together people from across West Sussex to celebrate diversity, inclusion and equality.
