Van Driver Arrested After Fatal A27 Crash

A van driver has been arrested after a fatal crash on the A27 near Pevensey claimed the life of a 20-year-old man.
Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway shortly before 6.30am on Monday following a collision involving a white Mercedes Sprinter and a white Volkswagen Caddy.
The driver of the Volkswagen, from Heathfield, died from his injuries.
A 31-year-old man from Bexhill, who was driving the Mercedes, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug-driving.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
